At Freelance Adda, we are committed to creating a safe, fair, and professional freelancing ecosystem for Freelancers and Employers alike. This Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behaviour expected from all users and establishes a framework for professional, respectful, and trustworthy interactions.

This Code applies to all users of the Platform, whether engaging publicly, privately, directly through messaging, or indirectly through project interactions. Compliance ensures that Freelance Adda remains a platform where collaboration, integrity, and professionalism thrive.

1. Professionalism

1.1 Timely Delivery: Freelancers are expected to complete projects within the agreed deadlines and in accordance with project specifications. Delays should be communicated proactively.
1.2 Clear Requirements: Employers must provide detailed project requirements, realistic timelines, and fair compensation to ensure mutual understanding.
1.3 Responsiveness: All users should respond to messages, inquiries, and requests in a timely and courteous manner.
1.4 Commitment to Quality: Professionalism is not only about meeting deadlines but also maintaining high standards, reliability, and accountability.
1.5 Respect for Time: Both Freelancers and Employers should respect each other’s time and avoid unnecessary delays or non-communication.


2. Respectful Communication

2.1 Positive Interaction: Users should communicate respectfully and constructively at all times, avoiding aggression, rudeness, or dismissive language.
2.2 Active Listening: Take time to understand the other party’s perspective and provide thoughtful responses.
2.3 Disagreement Resolution: Conflicts should be addressed calmly and, when necessary, through Freelance Adda’s dispute resolution system.
2.4 Zero Tolerance for Harassment: Harassment, threats, intimidation, or any abusive behaviour is strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension or termination.


3. Honesty and Transparency

3.1 Accurate Representation: Freelancers must provide truthful descriptions of skills, experience, and qualifications. Misrepresentation is strictly prohibited.
3.2 Genuine Work Samples: Freelancers must only submit original or properly licensed work samples and portfolios.
3.3 Legitimate Projects: Employers must post projects that are authentic, accurately described, and within the scope of the platform’s policies.
3.4 Integrity in Communication: Misleading statements, fake profiles, or false intentions undermine trust and are prohibited.

4. Payment Integrity

4.1 Platform Payments Only: All financial transactions for projects must be conducted through Freelance Adda’s official payment system.
4.2 Timely Release: Employers must release payments promptly upon project approval or completion of agreed milestones.
4.3 No Extra Demands: Freelancers should not demand additional payments outside of the agreed terms without mutual consent documented through the platform.
4.4 Prohibited Bypasses: Any attempt to bypass the platform’s payment system constitutes a violation of platform policies and may lead to penalties, including suspension or permanent account termination.


5. Confidentiality

5.1 Data Protection: Users must safeguard sensitive information, trade secrets, or personal data obtained during projects.
5.2 Written Consent Required: Sharing confidential information without explicit consent is strictly prohibited.
5.3 Secure Communication: Users are encouraged to utilise the platform’s secure messaging and file-sharing tools to maintain privacy and security.
5.4 Mutual Trust: Confidentiality builds a safe and productive environment for collaboration and protects both parties’ interests.

6. Quality Standards

6.1 Original Work: Freelancers must deliver original work that complies with project specifications. Plagiarism, copying, or reuse without disclosure is prohibited.
6.2 Constructive Feedback: Employers should provide feedback that is helpful, detailed, and aimed at improving the work.
6.3 Professional Excellence: Maintaining high-quality standards benefits the reputation of Freelancers, Employers, and the platform as a whole.

7. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly forbidden:

7.1 Posting or soliciting illegal content, services, or activities.
7.2 Flooding the platform with spam, irrelevant proposals, or repetitive communications.
7.3 Engaging in discriminatory, hateful, or offensive conduct toward other users.
7.4 Attempting to hack, exploit, or misuse platform features or circumvent rules.
7.5 Using the platform for fraudulent purposes, including fake projects or false billing.
7.6 Sharing another user’s confidential or personal information without explicit consent.

8. Dispute Resolution Etiquette

8.1 Use Platform Channels: Disputes must be handled through the official Freelance Adda dispute resolution system.
8.2 Provide Evidence: All requested documentation, including messages, work samples, and invoices, should be submitted promptly and accurately.
8.3 Respectful Behaviour: Personal attacks, harassment, or threatening behaviour during disputes are strictly prohibited.
8.4 Impartial Decisions: The Freelance Adda dispute team evaluates all disputes fairly and based on available evidence. Users must respect the final determination.

9. Compliance with Laws

9.1 Users are responsible for adhering to:

  • Local and international labor laws and regulations
  • Applicable tax obligations and reporting requirements
  • Licensing, certification, or professional requirements for specialized work

9.2 Freelance Adda may report suspicious or illegal activity to the relevant authorities if necessary.

10. Enforcement & Consequences

10.1 Penalties for Violations: Violating this Code may result in:

  • Warnings or temporary account suspension
  • Permanent termination of the account
  • Loss of access to pending payments in cases of serious misconduct

10.2 Final Decisions: Decisions regarding violations are at the sole discretion of Freelance Adda and are final.
10.3 Preventive Actions: Freelance Adda reserves the right to monitor activity, conduct investigations, and take preventive measures to protect users and platform integrity.

11. Reporting Violations

11.1 Reporting Mechanism: Users can report violations using the platform’s “Report” feature.
11.2 Evidence Submission: Provide as much detail and documentation as possible to assist the investigation.
11.3 No Retaliation: Users must not retaliate against individuals for reporting violations. Retaliation may result in additional penalties.
11.4 Investigation Process: Freelance Adda investigates all reports in a fair, unbiased manner and takes necessary action in line with platform policies.

12. Continuous Improvement

12.1 Freelance Adda reserves the right to update this Code of Conduct periodically to reflect changes in laws, technology, or community standards.
